Editing an order in the POS

Lightspeed Restaurant POS allows you make changes to individual items, such as editing quantities, pricing, or add any adjustments before the transaction is completed. This gives you the flexibility to respond to any changes or customer requests in real time.

To edit the order in the POS: 

  1. On the POS, enter the customer's order.  
  2. Select the product you want to edit.

  3. Under the General tab, you can edit the following details:
    • Quantity: The number of selected items included in the order. 
    • Unit Price: The price assigned to the item. To update it, select the Unit Price field, enter the new value, then click OK.
    • Add Adjustment: Apply a discount or surcharge to the selected item.
    • Note: Add a comment or special instruction for the selected item.
    • Remove: Delete the item from the order. 
  4. (Optional) To edit the modifiers linked to the item, go to the Modifiers tab. Select or remove the linked modifiers, then click Save.
  5. Click Apply Changes
