Setting up tables

The table layout in Lightspeed Restaurant offers a visual, customizable floor plan that helps you manage table service efficiently. Staff can instantly see which tables are occupied, waiting to order, being served, or ready to be cleared.

To enable and use the Tables feature on the POS, you need to be on the Manage plan. Check your plan by navigating to the subscriptions tab in Back Office.

Enabling Tables in Back Office

To start customizing and using the table layout on your POS, the Tables feature must be enabled in Back Office.

The Tables feature is not compatible when combined with the Group Ordering feature. Using both on the same site may lead to issues, particularly with order printing.

To enable Tables in Back Office:

  1. Log in to Back Office with your Lightspeed credentials.
  2. From the navigation menu, select Features
  3. Search for and select Tables

Customizing your table layout

Once the Tables feature is enabled, you can configure your floor plan to reflect your venue's actual layout. Use the built-in layout editor on the POS to add, move, and edit tables, chairs, flooring, and sections.

To customize your table layout:

  1. On the POS, select Tables
    POS_Tables button
  2. The default table layout will appear. Select Edit to start customizing your floor plan.
