Using Lightspeed Loyalty on the kiosk

If your site is subscribed to Lightspeed Loyalty, customers can sign in, redeem loyalty credits, and earn new credits themselves while they order at the kiosk, with no help needed from staff.

Lightspeed Loyalty is a separate subscription that you enable in Back Office. The loyalty features described here only appear on the kiosk if your site is subscribed to Lightspeed Loyalty. If your site doesn't use Loyalty, customers order and pay as normal, without any loyalty prompts.

Here's how loyalty works across a kiosk order:

  1. Signing in: At the start of an order, the customer signs in with their mobile number, or joins Lightspeed Loyalty if they're new. Once signed in, they see the loyalty credits available to redeem on the order.

  2. Redeeming credits: Loyalty credits from previous visits appear on the checkout screen. The customer can apply them to the current order or save them for a future visit.

  3. Earning credits: Loyalty credits earned on the current order are granted after payment is completed, and can be redeemed on the customer's next visit.

Frequently asked questions

Can I modify which products appear in the kiosk?

Products with Show online enabled in the Online products section in Back Office are visible on the kiosk. To modify visibility for each product, navigate to Back Office > Products > Online products. Then select or deselect Show online for the relevant item.

Do I need a Lightspeed Loyalty subscription for loyalty to work on the kiosk?

Yes. Lightspeed Loyalty is a separate subscription, and loyalty prompts only appear on the kiosk if your site is subscribed to Lightspeed Loyalty. If your site isn't subscribed, customers won't see loyalty options and can order and pay as normal.

Can a customer redeem a loyalty credit they just earned at the kiosk?

No. On sites that use Lightspeed Loyalty, loyalty credits are calculated and granted after payment is completed, so a customer can only redeem them on a future visit.

Can I integrate Lightspeed Kiosk with a third-party loyalty platform?

No. Lightspeed Kiosk does not currently support integration with third-party loyalty platforms.
