Setting up site currency

Lightspeed Restaurant (O-Series) supports local currencies in supported regions like Australia and New Zealand. Currently, only one currency can be configured per site. If multiple sites are linked to a single company, the currency selected in the Company Settings is applied across all sites.

To configure the site currency: 

  1. Log in to Back Office with your Lightspeed credentials. 
  2. From the navigation menu, select Company Settings > Details
  3. Under Currency, choose your preferred currency from the drop-down list. 
  4. Click Save

Frequently asked questions

Can I set up a secondary currency? 

It is currently not possible to set up a secondary currency. The Back Office and POS support only one main currency, and all transactions and reports are processed and shown using that currency.

Can I change the currency in my Insights report to my preferred currency?

Lightspeed Restaurant supports AUD for Australia and NZD for New Zealand. In Insights reports, both are displayed using the $ symbol. This currency display cannot be changed due to a limitation to the reporting platform.
