Download the app and take us everywhere on your Apple device.
💡 Before downloading, you'll need to create an Apple ID. We'd recommend that you keep a separate one for your business devices.
- An Apple ID lets you access the App store & adds some security if your device goes missing. Learn to create an Apple ID. You can also try to check whether you already have an Apple ID
- If you are working with a completely new Apple device or you need to replace an old device with a new one, check out these steps on how to set it up.
Once you open the app, you can sign in to your Lightspeed by Lightspeed account. If you don’t have a Lightspeed account yet, learn about creating a new Lightspeed by Lightspeed account here.

Frequently Asked Questions
How many devices can I connect to Lightspeed at a time?
Lightspeed is cloud-based and can be accessed from anywhere with internet.
Back Office - If you are wanting to make changes to your Account, view reports, manage users, edit products, view stock, and similar functions, you'll need to access the Back Office. For this part of the app, you can have as many people logged in at one time as you need.
Point of Sale - The number of devices that can access POS (at the same time) depends on how many registers you've set up from the Back Office. It is best to have one register per device that is used to take orders.
Should I use a mobile phone or tablet for taking orders?
Mobile devices with larger screens are great for this because you get a better view of everything at once. Learn more about iPad / Android / Windows Device Best Practise.
What will happen if the Internet dies?
We’re all afraid of the internet dying. It’s one of the things that bind humanity.
It’s a good thing Lightspeed can work offline. Yes, you read that right.
During the period of Internet service outage, data is stored in the device. When the Internet comes back, the data will then be transferred to the cloud and it’s like nothing happened! Learn more about Using Lightspeed offline.
