What you'll need

Enabling Employment Hero Payroll
Before you can sync employee and timesheet data between Lightspeed Restaurant and Employment Hero Payroll, you must first enable the integration in Back Office.
To enable Employment Hero Payroll:
- Log in to Back Office with your Lightspeed credentials.
- From the navigation menu, select Integrations.
- Search for and select Employment Hero Payroll.
- Click Enable.
Configuring the Employment Hero Payroll integration
After enabling the integration, you'll need to connect your Employment Hero Payroll account and set up your business profile. This allows employee and timesheet data to be synced between Lightspeed Restaurant and Employment Hero Payroll.
To configure the Employment Hero Payroll integration:
- Once the Employment Hero Payroll integration is enabled, click Employment Hero Payroll settings.
- Log in to your Employment Hero Payroll account.
- Click Add your first business.
- In the Add a new business page, enter your business details. Lightspeed automatically populates most fields with your existing business information.
- Click Create.
- Click Go to dashboard.
Adding employees
After authorizing the connection and setting up your Employment Hero Payroll business details, you can import employee records from Lightspeed Restaurant.
To add your employees:
- From your dashboard, select the Employee > Import Employees.
- Under Import employees from, select Lightspeed.
- When the message that says the connection is not set up, click enable your connection.
- In the Authorisation Required popup, ensure the correct company is selected if you have multiple companies.
- Click Grant Access.
- In the Import Employees section, click Import.
Syncing timesheets
You can import employee timesheets into Employment Hero Payroll for payroll processing. The same authorization used for employee data also grants access to your timesheet data.
To sync your timesheets:
- From the navigation menu, select the Timesheets icon.
- Select Import Timesheets.
- Under Import timesheets from, select Lightspeed Kounta POS.
- Select Import.
Frequently asked questions
Employee schedules need to be created in Employment Hero Payroll. Lightspeed's role is to capture employee clock-ins and clock-outs. This attendance data is then synced to Employment Hero Payroll, where it is used to populate employee timesheets.
Integrating Lightspeed Restaurant with your Employment Hero Payroll account is free of charge. However, you will need an active Employment Hero Payroll subscription, which is subject to Employment Hero's standard pricing.
