Frequently asked questions

Setting up terminal branding

To establish custom branding for your Lightspeed payment terminals, you'll need to enable the terminal branding feature in Back Office. Once enabled, you can upload your business logo and update the terminal configuration to display your branding.

Enabling terminal branding in Back Office

Users with admin permission can enable terminal branding in Back Office. If you don’t have admin access, an admin user will need to grant you the Manage Lightspeed Payments permission before you can make any changes.

To enable terminal branding:

  1. Log in to Back Office with your Lightspeed credentials.
  2. From the navigation menu, click Integrations.
  3. Search for and select Lightspeed Payments.
    Integrations section Lightspeed Payments option
  4. Under the Settings tab, scroll down to Terminal branding.
  5. Toggle the switch to enable.

Uploading your logo

Image requirements vary by terminal model, so you may need to upload different files for each terminal. The system will display the recommended specifications accordingly. Supported file types are JPG and PNG, with a maximum file size of 5 MB.

To upload your logo:

  1. Under Terminal branding, click Upload on the terminal where you want to add a logo.

  2. In the pop-up window, drag and drop your logo file or click the box to browse and select the image from your system files.

  3. (Optional) If you uploaded the wrong file, click Replace to select a new one.
  4. Click Upload.

  5. Click Save.

Images are uploaded per terminal type, so if you have multiple S1F2 terminals, you only need to upload the image once, and that will apply to all S1F2 terminals on-site. If a terminal configuration has been reset, the image will be removed but will reappear once the configuration is updated again

Updating the payment terminal configuration

Frequently asked questions

Why are my uploaded logos not appearing on the terminals?

If your image isn't showing after uploading in Back Office, it's usually due to the terminal configuration not being updated. Ensure each terminal has synced to apply the latest branding settings.

Why does my image look misaligned or partially covered on the terminal?

If your image meets the correct dimensions and ratio, it should generally display correctly. However, certain elements, like the Lightspeed banner or navigation menus on Android terminals, may cover parts of the image.

If the important parts of your logo are being blocked, try adjusting the layout of your image so key elements aren't placed near the top or bottom of the screen.
