What you'll need
Before you start this process, please make sure you have access to the following:
- A Lightspeed POS and Deliverect plan
- Your Uber Eats, DoorDash, and Menulog accounts connected.
- A published Deliverect menu.
Snoozing products
The Snooze feature allows you to remove low-stock products from your delivery channels for a specific amount of time so your customer can’t add it to their order during that period, leaving you to control the depletion in-store.
- Navigate to the Snooze Tab.
- Select your Location.
- Click Select Products to Snooze.
- Choose the products you’d like to snooze and choose how long to snooze the item for. You can choose per hour or until a certain date.
- Click Submit.
You may need to snooze several items within Deliverect if the specific item exists as a product as well as a modifier. If the kitchen has run out of cheese, for example, you may need to snooze the cheese sandwich product, the burger topping modifier, and the pizza topping modifier.
Update snoozed products
You can view your snoozed products from this page, change the existing snooze duration, or make the item available again.
- From the Snooze tab, click the Snoozed Products button. You will see a list of all your snoozed products here, as well as their Start and End times.
- To change the snooze duration of an already-snoozed item, select the product and update the Available In option.
- Click Save Edits.
- To Unsnooze, select the products and click Make Available Now. It may take up to fifteen minutes for these items to be available again.
Busy mode
When you’re experiencing a rush and are struggling to keep up with the orders coming in, you can close your store temporarily. This functionality is called Busy Mode.
You must be signed in as the account owner to successfully enable Busy mode.
- Navigate to the Locations page.
- Click to expand your location.
- Click More to the right of Opening Hours.
- Click Busy Mode.
- Enable busy mode for one channel: Click Close Store.
- Enable busy mode for all channels: Click Close All Stores.
Deactivating Busy mode
Stores can be reopened by navigating to this window and clicking Open Store/Open All Stores.
Adjusting prep times
Adjusting your prep time buys your kitchen some time without having to stop accepting orders or removing products. By default, the prep time is set to 10 minutes. The minimum you can select is 0 minutes and the maximum is 90 minutes.
- In the POS, click Online.
- Use the dropdown to select the prep time.
- Click Update.
Frequently asked questions
Yes, you can. For details on how each delivery partner manages prep times, refer to the following articles:

Delivery times are controlled by the delivery partners and cannot be changed from the POS.
By default, Deliverect enables Auto-Accept, which allows orders to flow directly into your POS without needing to accept them on a delivery tablet.
If you wish to reject orders, Auto-Accept must be turned off. This will require you to manually accept orders on the delivery tablet before they appear in your POS, and then accept them again in the POS. This setup is not recommended as it can disrupt your workflow.
If you still want to proceed, contact Deliverect support to request that Auto-Accept be disabled. Please note that this may take up to 48 hours to process. As an alternative to rejecting orders, we recommend using Snooze Products or Busy Mode, which allow you to manage demand without disrupting order flow.
