Lightspeed Insights gives centralized access to all your data, empowering you to make faster, more informed decisions. Once Insights is enabled, you can access pre-built reports, use advanced filters, create custom reports, and share insights with your team.
Only users with admin or bookkeeper roles, or those with manually-enabled Insights access, can enable and access Insights.

Lightspeed Insights subscription levels
Lightspeed offers multiple Insights subscription levels to fit your business needs. If you manage multiple sites, all sites within your company that have active Insights subscriptions must be on the same plan. Choose from the following available Insights plans:
- Lite: Access essential insights, including sales snapshots, product performance, and reconciliations. You'll also get access to reports on adjustments, purchases, wastage, and more to help you monitor your business.
- View: View your site performance in real time with Insights Live. Explore 40+ ready-to-use reports and dashboards, complete with powerful filters and drill-downs to enhance product and staff performance.
- Share: Stay on top of site performance from your phone with Insights Live, schedule automated reports for your team, export data in multiple formats, and access all the features included in the View plan.
- Custom: Get access to real-time data via Insights Live, as well as data-focused consultations with your Account Manager. Build custom reports for your business and access all the features of the Share and View plans.

Enabling Lightspeed Insights
To access Insights, enable the Insights feature in Back Office. If you manage multiple sites, you can enable and upgrade each site to any of the paid Lightspeed Insights plans. If you choose not to upgrade, the site will remain on the default Lite plan, which provides access to basic pre-made reports.
To upgrade your Insights subscription, navigate to Home > Subscriptions > Insights > Change plan. You'll be prompted to select your desired plan and submit your request. An Account Manager will reach out to assist with the plan change and ensure it fits your business needs.
To enable Lightspeed Insights:
1. From Back Office, head to the Subscriptions page.
2. Select the site you wish to add Produce to.
3. Select Change add-on plans. 4. Select the plan that suits you best, then scroll down and choose Continue.
5. Review your changes and select Confirm to complete the update.
