Setting up Tanda Integration

Tanda provides users a powerful platform to manage rostering, timesheets, and payroll, with features like SMS roster delivery and customizable messages for staff members. It improves workforce efficiency, reduces administrative overhead, and enhances staff communication.

This guide covers integrating your Lightspeed Restaurant (O-Series) with Tanda and configuring fundamental settings.

What you'll need

If you don't have a Tanda account yet, you can start a free trial on their website at www.tanda.co. For any issues related to settings, the support team is available to assist. You can reach them via the chat bubble in your Tanda account or via email:

Enabling the Tanda integration

Before you can use Tanda with Lightspeed Restaurant, you must enable the Tanda integration in your Back Office. 

To enable the Tanda integration:  

  1. Log in to Back Office with your Lightspeed credentials. 
  2. In the left-hand menu, click Integrations.
  3. Select Tanda

Connecting Tanda to Lightspeed Restaurant

Clicking the Enable button will redirect you to the Tanda website to finish setting up the connection. 

To connect Tanda with Lightspeed Restaurant:

  1. Log in to your Tanda Account. 
  2. Click the cogwheel icon in the upper-right corner. 
  3. Select Integrations

  5. Switch to the Kounta tab. 
  6. Click Connect to Kounta

Syncing the timesheet and importing sales data

Tanda automatically syncs time, attendance, and sales data from Lightspeed Restaurant to simplify your timesheet creation and improve rostering by comparing staff coverage with historical sales trends. 

To access and edit these integration settings:

  1. Click the cogwheel icon in the upper-right corner. 
  2. Select Integrations
  3. Select Demand Data Integrations from the left-hand menu. 
  4. Select the Kounta tab. 
    • Use Kounta as a time clock too: Tick the box to update Tanda timesheets whenever staff clock in and out via Lightspeed. 
    • Include sales tax in revenue totals: Tick the box to ensure sales tax is included when importing sales data into Tanda.

Tanda syncs automatically every 15 minutes, and manual syncing is currently not supported.

How much does it cost to integrate Tanda with Lightspeed Restaurant?

Integrating Lightspeed Restaurant with your Tanda account is free of charge. However, a Tanda subscription is required and comes with its own pricing.

Can I test this integration on Tanda’s free trial?

Yes, you can test the integration with Tanda's free trial by following the steps above

Can I plan the employee schedules from Lightspeed?

You'll need to plot the schedule in Tanda. Lightspeed Restaurant can only capture employee clock-ins and sales volume, which is then sent to Tanda. Sales volume can be used as a basis for effective scheduling or for analyzing labor cost, while clock-ins will go straight into the Tanda timesheets.

Can I sync employee data from Lightspeed?

Currently, Tanda doesn't have this function. The quickest way to do this would be to upload staff information in bulk with a CSV file using their import template.
