Before you begin
Setting up the integration to take EFTPOS payments is easy - you will want to have your account set up and the EFTPOS terminal(s) on site before attempting to integrate them and getting them talking. You will also need;
- Your POS terminal on hand - should be connected to the same wifi connection as your EFTPOS device
- Stable internet connection
Enabling the Westpac Presto Smart Integration
1. From the Add-ons Page in Back Office, find the Westpac Presto Smart add-on
2. Enable this add-on by clicking on the orange Enable Westpac Presto Smart button
Pair your Westpac Presto Smart terminal with your POS
Pro Tip - You can only pair one Westpac Presto Smart terminal to one register
1. Head to the POS screen
2. From the menu button (top left) select Add-ons
Note - the elegant & power-saving dark mode is now available on POS. Check out this guide on how you can activate it.
3. Select the Pair Westpac Device option. This will open a dialogue box
4. On your Westpac Presto Smart Device, follow these steps:
Note-Make sure the device is not currently paired. To unpair, press the green enter/circle button along with the number 3. Then, select unpair terminal.
4.1 Turn on the device (long press on the green button - this is either an enter symbol or a circle)
4.2 Connect the device to the same network as your registers
4.3 Next, go to the home screen of the device (you can access this by pressing the X button)
4.4 Select Pair with POS
4.5 Simultaneously do the next step on your POS
5. Back on your POS
Enter the Payment Terminal Serial Number. Remember to Include the dashes.
Note - The Payment Terminal Serial Number can be found at the back of your device
6. Make sure the code matches on you POS and on your Westpac Presto Smart device. Confirm this on both devices.

Tipping, Signing and Merchant receipt printing with Integrated EFTPOS
You can find the settings for how your integrated EFTPOS works when needed for Tipping, Signing or printing Merchant EFTPOS receipts here.
Pro Tip -If you are changing any register settings, don't forget to update you POS with a quick Sync.
Configure your payment terminal printing settings
This section is useful for you if you use the Presto Smart (VX690 terminal) which has the inbuilt printer.
1. Head to the POS screen
2. From the menu button (top left) select Add-ons
3. Select Westpac Configuration
4. Select one of the three options:
Don’t print customer copy - the inbuilt printer won’t print at all
Print customer copy - the inbuilt printer will print the customer copy
Print on POS receipts - the customer copy will print on the POS printer
5. Select Save settings

How does my Westpac Presto Smart terminal talk to Lightspeed
Each Westpac Presto Smart terminal has its own connection to the internet via wifi (or 3G backup for the Presto Smart VX690 terminal) which talks to Lightspeed servers through this connection (naturally, your POS terminal will need to be online). The Westpac Presto Smart terminal will talk to the banks through its own internet connection.
